The new generation of CLS, Mercedes CLS 2019 was surprised during the first road and track tests. The German car could also change the name and call itself Mercedes CLE. The debut of the Mercedes CLS 2018 should take place on horseback between the end of the year and the beginning of the next.

The new generation of Mercedes CLS descends into the street – after being dropped on the track in recent months – for first tests and reliability testing of the model. The CLS MY2018 surprise on the German roads is still camouflaged, albeit in a much less heavy than the past. We know that the German car will share the floor with the new Mercedes E-Class. His name, however, could even change and turn into Mercedes CLE.

Despite the plastic protections and the camouflages, we can still guess the front, the trend of the roof, the new optical groups and the general proportions of the car. The style of the new Mercedes CLS will be those that characterize the future models of the three-point star range. A change is also the back, now free of camouflage.

Few are the clues regarding the engine range, although almost certainly there will be an electric variation. The top version of the range, the AMG, is more than likely: it should be pushed by the V8 engine TwinTurbo 4.0 liters by 600 hp.
