2020 BMW iX3 Release Date, Specs, News Update
The BMW prepares for the arrival of the 2020 BMW iX3. The electric-only SUV will be produced in China and will be able to count on all the technology developed by the Teutonic brand
The BMW is preparing to launch the 2020 BMW iX3 , the first electric-only car – if we exclude i3, which is limited to a metropolitan use – of the German brand. The car will be produced in China at the Shenyang technology hub , Liaoning Prefecture. This is one of the first cases in which a European historical brand decides to entrust its production (also in terms of image) to Asia. The leaders of BMW, obviously, have considered that their customers, in 2020, will have a conception of China different from the one that has accompanied us in recent years.
The absolute preview of the BMW iX3 was at the Beijing 2018 show, which was followed by the European premiere at the classic Paris event. The car is perfectly in line with the BMW style standards, with the iconic double frontal kidney -even if there will not be any radiator- and optical groups easily traceable to the other cars in the range.
In terms of performance, the electric BMW X3 will have a battery life of around 400Km for a recharge time (from 20 to 80 percent) that can be reached in less than 30 minutes. Numbers, therefore, in line with other German Concept, primarily Audi e-tron and Mercedes EQC. We still do not know the performance of the car, which in any case should be comparable to those of SUV premium high -powered endothermic engine.
2020 BMW iX3 Release Date
As far as the measures, prices, and layout of the 2020 BMW iX3 are concerned, we will have to wait. Perhaps, but we will know something already at the next Geneva Motor Show scheduled for March 2019.
