Debuted the 2020 Ford Focus, sedan presented for the first time twenty years ago in 1998 and arrived today in its fourth generation. Over the years the evolutions of Ford Focus have accompanied entire generations thanks to strong engines, practical use and driving dynamics that are always quite convincing. With a third series dated 2011, however, the House of the Oval is obliged to update the model, even considering the fact that it is one of the most sold cars in the range.
2020 Ford Focus Redesign, Dimensions
The new Ford Focus 2020 is a five-door sedan of C-segment, thus rival of Fiat type, Opel Astra, Renault Megane and Volkswagen Golf, among others. The pitch is increased and measures 2.71 meters, to the advantage of the interior space and the design of the car, now racier. The new Ford Focus measures 4.38 meters in length, while the station wagon version touches the 4.67 meters. Both versions are 1.82 meters wide the bodywork lines have not been overturned, although some details make the car more modern, especially as far as the front. The maximum capacity of the boot reaches 1345 liters for the sedan and 1653 liters for the wagon.
2020 Ford Focus Trims
There are even four versions of Ford Focus, available in Titanium, ST-Line, Vignale, and Active. The latter boasts a raised structure and specific protections on the bodywork that make it appear in all respects almost like a crossover. The safety facilities are numerous and of an excellent standard in all versions of Ford Focus. On request, we find for example the adaptive speed regulator, the maintenance of the active lane, the system that swerves automatically in case of imminent collision, the automatic braking of emergency and a system that allows being assisted in the phase of Parking.
Ford Focus engines and powers
The driving modes are three: Normal, Eco, Sport. The engines initially envisaged are the three-cylinder 1.0 EcoBoost 100 and 125 hp petrol and the new blue-and 1.5-2.0 liters Diesel, respectively credited with 95/120 HP and 150 hp. Among the most interesting onboard technologies are the 8 ″ digital screen, the multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also useful is the head up display, available for the first time on a Ford sold in Europe.
